Index to Music Is My Mistress

Index to Music is My Mistress by Duke Ellington

Preface

The typesetting in the index has been used for additional information. All kinds of titles are printed with italics. In cases where a title is used for a work as well as a part of the work, e.g. Paris Blues, is the entry to the work printed with italics and bold. References to pictures are also printed with bold, but the entry might be found in the text on same page too. Places and band names have only been indexed in selected cases. Names of persons are strictly alphabetized if we look away from the apostrophes surrounding a nickname, and the index is using the entry, which are found in the book. In selected cases has the full name been given, and in other cases have persons been cross-referenced. Duke Ellington himself has only been indexed where pictures of him are found.
