A week out from the 127th anniversary of Edward Kennedy Ellington's birth and UNESCO International Jazz Day, here is a photograph of a glorious collection of concert performance tickets which was recently up for auction on a certain virtual sale room site...
The provenance of these tickets is an interesting story we shall tell on the approach to Duke Ellington's birthday next Wednesday, 29th April.
Thursday, 30 April sees UNESCO's International Jazz Day chaired and led by Herbie Hancock. Duke Ellington Live will be celebrating here, too.
